While I can get TV stations within my own TV market (Flint/Saginaw/Bay City MI) both over the air and on Comcast Flint, sometimes I get stations I can pick up in the adjacent Detroit and Lansing TV markets through WMC, but lately not. The listings for Detroit and Lansing OTA stations currently say NO DATA AVAILABLE. While Rovi/TiVo can get the listings, lately they do not show up in WMC and Microsoft has been of NO HELP regarding this problem. So I have to manually record shows from OTA Detroit and Lansing stations after looking up the listings outside WMC first.

I think with WMC, you have the option to use guide data from other providers. You probably need to change your guild data provider.

Where specifically in The Green Button can the instructions be found?

I think he's just confused. Knows that Rovi merged and is taking TiVo name .. knows his WMC is supplied by Rovi ... thinks this TiVo forum is really a 'Rovi' forum and doesn't know it is for the DVR. Of more concern is that he has been pointed to the correct forum twice ... and apparently can't read section or topic titles over there. Instructions for epg123 are pretty easy to find over there ...

The Green Button has multiple topics with NO CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS on the link. So my question still stands.

Your question would be best served over there. This is not a TiVo/Rovi data provider forum -- this is for the TiVo DVR boxes. On the very top of the epg123 forums are links to instructions. However, I suspect that the directions may be over your level of expertise given forum usage unfamiliarity.

Gary, give up on WMC. It's a dead horse. It's a shame, because it had so much potential. I had a whole house DVR built from it. When Microsoft changed to Rovi guide data, that effectively killed WMC for multiple market OTA use. I eventually switched to Tivo Roamio OTA with no fees, and have been completely satisfied.

It won't last. It will break again, and instead of "watching TV", you'll be "fixing TV".
