My wonderful TiVo has that in the To Do section for me. I had even forgotten that I had a SP for it.

The trouble with Futurama is, there are different definitions of "season".

In terms of production, yes, this is "Season 6 Part 2". (Season 7 Part 1 is scheduled to air in 2012, and S7P2 in 2013.)

In terms of broadcast, this is either Season 7 or Season 8, depending on whether or not you count the 16 episodes cut from the four movies as a season.

In terms of video, this set of 13 will probably be released as Season/Volume 6.

Not quite...production Seasons 1-4 were divided into TV Seasons 1-5, but sold on DVD as Volumes 1-4. The four movies were technically production Season 5, and sold separately on DVD (although there's a box set in England). Production Season 6 was split into two half-seasons for TV, the first of which is the Volume 6 DVD. So production Season 6 will be TV 6 or 7 depending on whether you count the movies as 6.

I wish they had sold the movie box-set as Volume 5, and waited on the second half of Season 6 for the Volume 6 DVDs. Then they would finally have aligned the production, television, and DVD seasons.

Ah. That explains my confusion when looking through the torrents. I saw the new futurama listed, but was confused as it was still season 6.

    Now off to grab it.

Just watched the "Benderama" episode from last week. The little Benders were great! :)

Wow, these first two episodes were as good or better than anything from the first "half" of the season and I loved the first half! They also seemed to be a bit dirtier too!

True.. EXCEPT Comedy Central's stupid timeslot games are annoying as hell. We watched it last night at a friend's house (actually, all 3 new eps so far), but the last one was cut off.. he has NO padding on his SP, so I almost expect that.

But I recorded a middle of the night rerun with I think 2 minutes padding on each end, and it STILL had about 5 minutes cut off at the end.. (it was shifted about 5 mins later than the posted schedule)

So I have to record AGAIN, and I added I think 5 mins padding this time, to hopefully get the end..

So at least I'm glad they show them a lot in their premiere week.

First two episodes were holy crap great and then the third, Bender's Ghost, was meh. Still, like every bad Futurama episode (of which there are few), it still had a bunch of great moments.

Emmy nominations are this Thursday July 14); this is the first time the show has been eligible since they changed the voiceover category to have actual nominations (rather than judging each entry on its own), so maybe now we can get some idea as to whether or not the stories about everybody in the voiceover business having something against Billy West have some merit. (There's something wrong with the system if he gets passed over but anybody from Community gets nominated for its Christmas episode.)
