Yeah, I may be thinking of Arbitron. We had those books once and filled them out the old-fashioned way....pen and paper!

Not just a box but a HUGE box. They take apart your TV, DVD player, cable/tivo box in every room you have them in and wire them all into this massive thing that sits behind your TV. Trust me, there's no attaching that monster. It's ridiculous. And heaven forbid you pause the show/recording for more than 5 minutes or mute the TV, they will call you and ask what's wrong and do you need them to come out.

Hadn't they started syndicating them at that point? I doubt it was popular enough to manufacture new toys but maybe it's reasonable the stores would be selling off old stock?

Excellent point. As soon as I saw the poor image I paused the show and started tinkering to see if I could improve it. I guess my assumption that Fox wouldn't air such poor quality hd was totally wrong. It's interesting that the poor quality seems to be everywhere. Did anyone get a good showing?

It seems to have been a botched attempt to simulate an 80s TV show...

Ha! It's already on my list. I never watched it the first time around but since everyone I know that loves the same shows I love talks endlessly about it, I shall be watching!

Loved the ep, but the really poor video quality almost killed it for me. And it wasn't just the "camcorder" scenes - the entire ep seemed as if it was shown in SD. Except the commercials - they were crystal clear. (I actually watched a few just to make sure that my eyes and/or TV were not having issues. ;)
