They just don't give any shows a chance anymore.
BURN IN HELL, FOX!!!!!!!!!!
As long as COPS is safe...
Well with more most wanted people on the loose now, COPS will have MORE people
(Yes I know the people on Cops aren't most wanted people)
No idea why they would ever cancel this show it should be considered a PSA and a total write-off. Or at least have the decency to sell it to another network.
From Fox Broadcasting Company president Kevin Reilly:
I wouldn't be surprised if the quarterly specials continue after next season, rather than being just "the last four episodes".
If I remember correctly, this isn't the first time Fox has "cancelled" the show; they pulled it from the schedule early in its run, but there was so much feedback (especially from law enforcement agencies) that Fox put it back.
I'm a little surprised Cops makes money, if AMW doesn't, or that they haven't considered turning AMW into a 30-minute show, and airing it, along with a single Cops episode, in the Saturday 8-9 slot.
There is a bizarre group of people on Facebook who are convinced this means criminals will run wild on our streets now. As the kids say, "smh"
They got Bin Laden.
And when they do, the cameras on Cops will be there when they get caught.
I didn't even realize this show was still around.
Walsh should turn the show into a daytime syndicated show. To make it cheaper, combine newly filmed segments with old segments on people they haven't caught yet, or people they have and looking at where they or their victims are now. They could even stretch it out furthery by adding in studio segments about various safety topics... or interviews with police, fire, or even average people who have been involved in a particularly newsworthy safety-related incidents or acts of heroism/bravery.
Seems like something that would work well for those who are home during the day... and it would fit in well with all the different court shows.
I wonder what they are going to put in its place.
Cops at least has syndication value, AMW doesn't.
Does AMW even do reruns? Sorry I don't watch it so I don't know. But if they do show reruns, I'd have to believe they don't get much viewership.
9 on Saturday.. crap, or sports, or both, Crap sports.
Bring on the Cricket!
Perfect first reply. I lol'd
The newest reality show: I married a Criminal.
Don't worry, AMW will move to the CW, where it'll be renamed "America's Next Top Wanted."
What everybody else does - repeats. For example, they can show "instant encores" of Fringe or Terra Nova.
Also, I would not be surprised to see Glee repeats on Saturday nights when the show goes on hiatus in March (during the four weeks American Idol has two-hour performance shows).
THIS JUST IN: The world really is coming to an end (probably not on May 21, or June 3 (5/21 on the Julian calendar), though) - CBS is scheduling new episodes of Rules of Engagement on Saturday nights!
Yikes. Burnoffs? Is it cancelled, or is it still the perpetual "fill in"?
(It's a dumb show, and I have I think 8 unwatched on my Tivo.. but I laugh at Warburton & Spade.. when I get around to watching them, which I usually do a couple at a time.)
Oh, and on topic, I was amazed that the last uproar to keep the show on was _so_ long ago. I'm an old geezer.
