My favorite at the time was Goodfellas. Someone said no seriously, Samuel L. Jackson is in Goodfellas, and I had to rewatch. I was dumbfounded.

Yes, she was - and before that, she was a regular on a syndicated sitcom called Throb (Diana Canova from Soap starred as an executive at Throb Records).

And does doing a minor guest spot after a "starring" role count? Among the various "patients of the week" on House was Allison Smith, who was Annie on Broadway before playing Allie's daughter on Kate & Allie.

I sure do. I remember watching Otherworld and recognizing him from Beverly Hills Cop.

I had seen it so many times, but happened to have watched it a few days before this post. I didn't watch it specifically for him, but Jonathan Banks' scenes jumped out at me. I loved his delivery of, "He's all over the place... What an a**hole!"

Yes, Beverly Hills Cop too. Both of them came out right around the same time.

    Time we had a thread...

Watching an old rerun of Star Trek Enterprise (2002 TV series) and there was Lieutenant Gruber from 'Allo 'Allo (1982-1992 TV series)!

    Guy Siner - IMDb

He was in all 10 years of 'Allo 'Allo playing a comedy role.
Lieutenant Gruber being in Star Trek Enterprise is so very wrong :D

Not sure if it fits the other thread or maybe this one better.

I thought it was cool that the TV series "The Goldbergs" has a few guest appearances by Bill Goldberg (WWE wrestler). He is in a few episodes so not exactly one off.

He's the coach's brother. When the coach actor left in order to costar in Schooled, Goldberg took over as the character's brother. I would assume that now Schooled is cancelled, Mellor will be back.

I'm pretty sure that Mellor still appeared in an episode or two of The Goldbergs after he left for Schooled.

I had the Andy Griffith Show on in the background the other night and I saw Alan Hale Jr, the Skipper on Gilligan's Island, playing a farmer in search of a wife. The funny part was he kept calling Barney Fife "little buddy" like he called Gilligan, but this Andy Griffith episode first aired in 1962 and Gilligan's Island didn't air until 1964.

It's surprising how old some of these tv shows are. I watch some westerns on MeTV and some of them are from the late 50s.

I like watching old The Honeymooners episodes. It always amazes me how big a deal it was for a lower middle class guy like Ralph Kramden considered it such a big deal to have TV (and to share it with his neighbor too!).

Yesterday I watched a Mannix episode with Howard Hesseman (WKRP In Cincinatti) and Dabney Coleman (a million shows) in it.

I binged watched "Veronica Mars" and saw a few young male actors appearing in one-offs - Matt Czuchry, Armie Hammer-lots of fun!

The one with Jessica Chastain in S1 or S2 always surprises me-- I always forget it's her!

Not an actor but Neil Diamond is pretty famous. I watched this Mannix episode from 1967 over the weekend. He also performs a bit of Solitary Man in this episode.
