Recently watched Mystic Pizza - wife had never seen it. I hadn't watched it since its first run, so I was surprised to see a young Matt Damon playing a rich kid in his first role.

Did they have a young Jimmy Kimmel cut in and say they'd run out of time for Matt Damon in this scene?

I was watching Alien3, and all of a sudden it clicked: the doctor in Alien 3 was Tywin Lannister (Charles Dance).

Probably the best example of this is Invasion Iowa where Shatner literally plays himself.

I remember seeing lots of folks on the Dating Game: Tom Selleck, John Ritter.

    Here's Steve Martin

PS. Watch to the end to spot another celebrity.

My wife and I stumbled on Enemy of the State with Will Smith the other night. Skyler White from Breaking Bad shows up as the bad guy's wife. That movie was released 22 years ago.

I remember Jane Leeves even before Seinfeld was on Murphy Brown (if I recall, she was Miles girlfriend for awhile on the show).

She was the "virgin" who almost gave it up to Jerry during the "The Contest" episode, and ended up giving it up to JFK Jr. She was in a previous episode as the same character where she was going to reorganize Jerry's closests. Muvla was a different actress.

Law and Order (as mentioned) was the first show that popped into my mind.

I've been watching a lot of Cold Case re-runs lately. I LOVED that show! Here's a list I found online. I didn't read the whole thing, but didn't see Justin Hartley's name on it. He was in an episode.

This is a fun thread. My memory is all but gone, so I recall little, but it's fun to hear/see some of these. The Dating Game video was interesting.

Sometimes I watch old sitcoms, particularly on the SD channels that play the REALLY old ones, and see somebody here and there who ended up being pretty famous.

It seems like every actor under the sun has been in at least one episode of Law and Order over the years.

And if you pay attention, you can see the future detectives in older episodes, usually as defense attorneys or suspects.

Watched Airplane with my son tonight.

Near the end, one of the guys in the control tower checking out the radar, is Mike from Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul --- with hair.

You must have caught the same airing I did. That's one of his famous appearances, but he was in many others. Remember the old tv show, "Otherworld"? Not many do. :)

Samuel L. Jackson is a great example. After he became "recognizable" in Pulp Fiction, he seemed to pop up in every movie I rewatched on TV. It became "Hey, I didn't know he was in Coming to America, Jurassic Park, Goodfellas, Law & Order (like so many others), Patriot Games, Ghost Writer (a PBS kids series!), etc."

In 2002 Jay O. Sanders played a nice suburban dad who happened to be a stone cold hit-man. So cold he hid a body in his family's chest freezer under the rocky road ice cream. In 2011 he showed up as the new Major Case Captain!
