I like Danny Elfman!
Some great stuff in both of the episodes tonite (aired as a single hour, two separate parts. "Blue Harvest, parts 1 and 2").
As usual, lots of inside jokes, and jokes going on in the background.
"Aren't you a little fat...."
"Well stay here and rot you stuck up *****!"
The whole Robot Chicken bit at the end was the best part.
Kudos for really using Rush Limbaugh and Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo.
And Porkins! (well, they didn't use the real porkins a he's dead).
Heh heh. They got it right. Han shot first.
Best Family Guy ever.
"I just wanted to wish you both good luck ..." That's Airplane II, right?
Definitely from one of the Airplane movies. Not sure which, but it was good. (Something is telling me it was the original one, but not sure on that...)
Why was Coach McGuirk from Home Movies in the Cantenna? I just thought that was odd seeing him.
I loved the whole bit at the end, talking about Robot Chicken.
Very good episode, but don't think it has the replay value as I didn't find the majority of it laugh out loud funny.
(I am a HUUUGE Fam guy fan, but this one just didn't have the comedy of the others)
+1 robot chicken bit at the end was great though
-Anyone else see the Alien from American Dad
"Did I hear someone say, play the exact same song again?"
"Big Red standing by"
I have to watch it now about five or six more times.Lots and lots of good jokes, but I really loved how the scenes played so closely to the movie.
I think the only thing I didn't like was the 'time of our life' song. And maybe a mel brooks nod would have been funny. Unless there was one and I missed it. I also thought it was Homer that was seen briefly in the binocs by the banthas. I haven't rechecked.
"don't get penisie"
"Red October standing by"
And poor meg as the creature in the garbage.
"I....Had....The time of my life.......And I owe it all to youuuuuuuu!"
"Bloop bleep. Can you hold this baggie for me?"
"Why does hyperspace always look so freaky?" TOM BAKER FTW!!!
"We're about to go into hyperspace. Better stap in."
"Did he say strap in or strap-on?"
Seth McFarlane did the voice of Mcguirk.
"Obi Wan Kenobi? I wonder if he means Obi Wan Kenobi?"
"The force is what gives Jedi Knights their power. It surrounds us. It penetrates us. mmmmmm"
It was in both, but that scene was recreated from the first... Leslie Nielsen sticks his head in the cockpit when Stryker is piloting the plane and says that line.
This whole show had us non-stop laughing.. Seth McFarlane is a freaking comic genius, bar none. The things he comes up with.
I thought one of the funniest was Leia trying to create an MPEG file using Windows Media Player
I've never seen Star Wars and I laughed.
The People Court joint had me rolling like the Night Court beat during last season.
I thought it was Real Player 7???
No. She'd have had to download and install Real Player 7 in order to stream the video. So R2 told her to just created the file and he'd deliver it himself.
