You can still do all those things and have pretty girls in it too. As far as reality in battles, do you know many GI's returned from WWII with Japanese brides.....more goes on than just the gritty battles, but this show has plenty of gritty time, so much I had almost bailed. You're correct Lexi is not being sought that way but remember she was just introduced and that cocoon thing might well turn off suitors a bunch, too. Give the story time. She grew this big real fast, not a stretch she could age 5 more years you know.

"...so I guess they're lunar panels."

I think that's the first time I've laughed out loud at this show (well, at something that was apparently supposed to be funny).

I had to giggle when Cochise mentioned sub-space radio.

I liked this past episode. I thought it was much more back to the core of the show I mentioned before. Yeah, silly plot device for sure, but hey, there's so much that is preposterous with this show that it just doesn't bother me.

What does bother me is Cochise. He's WAY too human to be an alien :) To me he looks more like a human with an alien costume on than a "real" alien. This is kind of hard to explain I guess, but he seems like he'd be exactly the same if he was from Montana or California than a Volm from outer space.

One think I'm confused about, does Ben still have alien spikes? I was under the impression that they transplanted them all over to Maggie? I guess even if he doesn't, he could still have alien DNA.

They only transplanted a few before there were complications and they had to stop.

Matt is lucky his father is so understanding. My dad would have beat the shiznit out of me for untieing Mira. I know kids are dumb on tv and in real life but is there anybody in the five galaxies who didn't suspect that Mira had turned evil?

And speaking of beating the shiznit out of someone, Ben should have knocked Hal's block off.

God, I can't stand Pope. Ann is zooming up the "Can't Stand" list.

Does Cochise not have a spaceship at his disposal? Can't he ask his dad for one for such an important mission? Why use an Espheni ship when you can use a familiar one?

It's obvious that Tom has a big blindspot for his family, or he's an idiot.

I just know that my dad would have been chasing me around that weapons depot with a belt if I'd just almost got everybody killed.

At least Team Leader kicked the bucket.

I used to like this show but S4 has forced me to cancel the season pass. It just got WAY too silly. How many times will the evil aliens have Tom right in front of them and let him go? Sorry Falling Skies, you fell too far

Whenever a show makes such wild changes between seasons like Falling Skies did, I wonder if it is because of network meddling, or if the showrunners become too clever for their own good. As far as I was concerned, the first two seasons were great. The show did not need to be tweaked at all. Then season 3 started, and suddenly it was a completely different show. I just don't get it. Why mess with a formula that's working?

I see it the same way. They messed with what worked the first two seasons for no reason. I thought perhaps there's a new writing staff or new show runners.

Does a cable network like TNT meddle in the production of their shows in a way that the big broadcast networks might?

I wonder if all the location shooting of S1 and S2 was pretty expensive and they decided to trim costs by trying to shoot more of S3 on fixed sets.

Yes they do. Crusade was a prime example.

Yep. I'm still mad at TNT for the Crusade fiasco.

The whole Lexi subplot was a terrible left turn. I'm not sure I'll watch next year if she returns.

You and me both. Now it would fit in nicely with TNT's direction.

Pretty much every storyline this season was just horrible.

The spikes in Maggie and love triangle.

Super baby Lexi goes to the dark side.

    Weaver's daughter made into Alien.

The best episode was a throwaway one that did not really advance the plot much, but it was the one with the two guys capturing Tom. And it was a C episode at best. This season was a complete failure.

Even I, who like to see the new Lexi, did not follow why the coccoon since she seems to come out the same, plus I expected some nudity there and was disappointed. I don't get why Cochise has no spaceship to go to the moon with, either. Lots of holes in the writing.
