That's not a JPL business card. THIS is a JPL business card (slightly abused from being carried in my wallet):

    The JPL logo is raised.

Though I do have to give them credit for the Caltech reference and using the right telephone area code (818).

No NASA logo on our cards, but in 1990, NASA was using the "worm" logo until switching back to the "meatball" logo 18-ish(?) years ago. I liked the worm logo better than the meatball.

Also, NASA business cards look like they are from an inkjet printer on flimsy card stock, at least for the peons.

I was pretty amused by this episode. Laughed out loud a few times...

"Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition" (Monty Python reference)

"I passed out? That must have been some wine..." (I'm pretty sure that was a reference to his character's poisoning with Iocane powder in 'The Princess Bride')

I was really hoping for at least one "Inconceivable!" though... Maybe that was just too blatant.

I missed the wine reference, but got the Inquisition one immediately. I too was sure there would be an inconceivable reference, since there wasn't one in the previous episode where Wallace 'Shawn played the same character. It's inconceivable that they didn't use 'inconceivable'. Blatant is this show's middle name, from blatant quotes to blatant product placements (Subaru, for example).

We sure have come a long way in what TV writers can get on the air:

Holly and Fargo in bed. Something vibrates.
    Fargo: "Is that yours?"
    Holly: "It's for you"
    Fargo pauses, looks uncomfortable.
    Holly: "Your phone!"
    Fargo: "Oh!"

I got the spanish inquisition one, and was amused, but I did miss the wine one as well.

I guess what I am missing is what does Wallace Shawn have to do with Monty Python?

Nothing. It was just an amusing pop culture reference, that's all.

I think the idea that the wine is a reference to anything is a stretch. Sometimes wine is just wine.

If you want references, how about "this one time, at space camp"?

I was waiting for her to say she stuck a model space shuttle in her p----. :D

Chalk me up as another person disappointed there was no "inconceivable". It seems like Eureka would have an excellent audience that would appreciate something like this. I wonder if there is a chance they tried to get one in, but the actor refuses. People must say that word to him everyday of his life. :)

You know, it took me almost two episodes to figure out that that wasn't Neelix.

Not Neelix. It was, however, Grand Nagus Zek.

I allow for the possibility that Wallace Shawn might now be completely sick and tired of people asking him to say "inconceivable". :)

I didn't realize that was the same as the actual guy saying it.

No, but it has been noticed that Eureka won't go with established memes, so instead of getting Wallace Shawn to say it, they acknowledged it by getting another character to say it.
