Have you watched much tv? *every* show has some focus for the episode. When you have no focus, you end up watching 'Clerks' over and over.

The trick is how much the 'central plot point' is hitting you over the head. This last episode we were treated to a lot of character interaction, a bunch of laugh out loud moments & lines, and some new information.

So what if it happened to take place during impending doom? or at least a good deal of damage to a building.

All Doug is saying is that it would be nice to mix it up a little bit. It doesn't need to be a "technology gone bad" story every week.

disclamer: i've never been attracted to dumb women, usually they annoy me.

That being said, is it wrong that i thougt allison was a lot hotter in this episode?

Technology gone amok causing possible disaster, shirtless Sheriff Carter saves the day.

    Doug is happy.

I guess there aren't any Ramones fans here, otherwise someone would have mentioned the "Gabba Gabba Hey" they sorta slipped into the dialogue.

Henry sympathizing with Carter being the most stupid person in the room all the time was priceless...

as long as they keep the show light and funny like that, I have no problem with the disaster-of-the-week format...
