Everyone in my household is waiting for the "undo" of this new timeline. Whether the writers have that planned or not doesn't really matter. The fact that we feel it needs to happen is affecting our perceptions and certainly reflects on how good this season is.

    Not sure why?

The only relationship that would reset would be henry's. And Fargo would not be in charge. And Kevin would be autistic. Really minor differences.

Yeah, I've mentioned in other threads that like most of the characters in the show, I've come to accept this as the new normal, and I'm not sure that they will or should reset back to the other reality.

By the same token, not really sure why they did it. Nothing changed dramatically.

Except that the Autistic kid is no longer Autistic.

Hardly huge. He is a recurring character and they could have made him non-autistic other ways.

I have a feeling the shows producers saw a bunch of minor things they wanted to change, like giving Jo a larger role on the show, coming up with something more for Fargo to do other than cause problems, bringing back Andy, etc. I think the alt universe thing was strictly to make these sort of minor tweaks, all at once, rather than spending an inordinate amount of time tweaking them a little at a time.

Plus, it gave a nice plot arc for the entire first half of season 4, with the whole Dr. Grant thing, and having to hide the fact that they traveled in time. Even though I don't think they'll change it back, I don't think that part of the story is completely settled.

Stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid Syfy. I can't wrap my mind around how BADLY this network is run. This is giving the whole TechTV/G4 thing a run for it's money... which, coincidentally enough, is now a part of the same conglomerate that owns Syfy.

The sad part is that this is a sister station to USA. One would think they'd look at how successful that network is with their slate of original series full of quirky and original characters, and realize there could be success by doing the same thing on Syfy. But noooo.... we're going to shelve then cancel one of the few well-made, creative sci-fi oriented shows full of quirky and original characters. And what will they replace it with? Almost certainly some crap like another ghost hunting show, a sub-B level monster movie, or more wrestling.

Man, I can't even put into words how mad this makes me.

G'damn. Looking at the tweets from the cast, it looks like they had to find out they were out of a job through the media. That takes Syfy's crappiness to a whole new level.

Perhaps they can start a series about a network run by executives that have been replaced by brain dead automatons. Oh, wait, even that would be too creative and too sci-fi for Syfy.

Maybe they could add in a stuttering talking-head for comic relief. I'll bet the guy who played Taggart could do it.

Oh, geez. It gets better and better. They only have 2 episodes remaining to film, which probably means there won't be any sort of decent conclusion to the series. It's Farscape all over again.

Give me a break. This show NEVER even approached the quality, legend or legion of fans that Farscape had. And even if you're just talking about how it will end, it's still apples/oranges...

    Aw, crap. How disappointing. :(

Hopefully they have time to work in Zoe returning, so that she and Carter can see themselves in a car entering the town for the first time as they leave it for the last time. (That's still a loose end from the pilot episode, right? I always suspected they had built it in as a potential bookend).
