I would like to upload a 15-second clip to YouTube from a 6-hour HD recording saved on my TiVo Bolt. What is the easiest way to do this? Ideally, I would avoid downloading and transcoding the entire 6-hour recording, since I only need a small portion of it.

I can use either a MacBook Air or (preferably) an iPad. Thank you!

Transcoding is converting from the Tivo system into a usable form (MPEG2 from PS, MPEG4 from TS modes), it also gets encrypted by the Tivo to a .TiVo file.

Shows must be downloaded as there is no other way.
You can use KMTTG to download from the Tivo to the PC/MAC. Enable decrypt and when all is done, the file would be either a .MPG or .TS.
A show can be downloaded from a Paused point with "Resume Download" in KMTTG. Just pause it at a point you wish to start in the middle of a show and leave to Live TV.
