Ok, I just can't wait any longer and need to upgrade to HD TV. I love my Direct Tivo unit, but am not confident in their HD unit and I really want Comcast onDemand features etc.

I have been waiting and waiting for the comcast Tivo partnership to roll out, but just don't see it happening before football season.. So, i want to buy a stand alone S3 unit. My questions are:
-with Comcast installing the cable-cards into the Tivo unit, are you able to tivo OnDemand programming?
--Are there any other suggestions people might reccomend for someone in my situation who wants to upgrade to HD and does not want to lose tivo.

    -thanks,

No, you will still need a Comcast cable box to access PPV and OnDemand.

You might want to wait for the Comcast TiVo to get deployed. I'm hoping it comes out sooner than later but not holding my breath.
