    I got my Roamio OTA on Amazon for $350 back in early 2017. No subscription required. At 14.99/month (180/year) for guide data (totally outrageous), this thing has already paid for itself.

    Must have multiple locations... my boxes say Make in China for my Bolt and mini's. Maybe refurbished devices updated in Mexico?

    Sure, just re-pair it to the Prime using Xfinity's card activation site (if it works), otherwise call their Cablecard support. You don't need a new card and it would be easier if you keep the one you have.

    I don't know how Comcast handles the CCI byte, but check out which channels have DRM before you find a CableCARD compatible HDHomeRun. Check out Channels — Frequently Asked Questions. DRM channels are not supported in Channels or Channels DVR.
