I was wonder some the late night programming(12am - 6am) is targeting DVRs rather than a live audience?

It obvious that any show\movie can be recorded, but daytime hours are likely to have a much larger live TV audience because they don't use DVRs, thus some programming that have a niche audience can be shifted to off hours because niche audience is like to use a DVR to record shows, thus don't care if their favorite TV series is on in the middle of night.
