Well, we KNOW what the Tardis-human was called...Sexy. We saw her get named.

Idris must have been the human-human's name.

(Here on Earth, by the way, Idris is a boy's name...)

I love that the TARDIS now has a name, and I think I like that that name is Sexy (I'm just a wee bit ambivalent - I can't help but associate that name with "Sex," the bizarre auditioner from a couple of seasons of American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance).

All in all, this was my favorite episode in a long while. Brilliant all around.

She is only called Sexy when nobody else is listening.

I know House used spare parts, but the human who was killed to provide a body for the TARDIS looked female to me.

If the body was basically female and human some of the possibilities are:
Idris is also a boy's name (either on Earth or some other planet inhabited by humans).
Idris was not her original name.
Idris was her last name, not her first name.

While Idris is usually a boy's name I actually know a girl called Idris also, it's a welsh name I think. I looked it up and it means fiery leader or prophet.

The actor who played her is Suranne Jones (Jones is probably the most common Welsh surname).

The Welsh Assembly (location of various Doctor Who and Torchwood episodes) used to have a member called Denise Idris Jones >

I chuckled when Idris/Sexy/TARDIS called Rory the "Pretty one".

She kinda did mention River. At least, that's what I'm assuming she was referring to with her cryptic message to Rory: "The only water in the forest is the river." Which, come to think of it, "forest" could be a reference to the Library (and the Silence again).

I liked the junkyard TARDIS, especially when the one piece fell off.

It almost seems to be a sleight to Amy [Pond].

Amy: It's a TARDIS *AND* a woman?!?! Did you wish really, really hard?

The look on the Doctor's face was priceless!! "No! It's not like THAT!"

I'm sure it's been referenced before, but this was the first time I remembered the Doctor talking about deleting and archiving rooms in the TARDIS.

I saw that. There was a familiar tone to that voice, but I wouldn't have guessed Michael Sheen.

Also in the credits: "GOD CREATED BY RUSSELL T DAVIES"

Ok, it actually said OOD but that's how I read it on first viewing. :D

I wish the archived control room had been from the Tom Baker or before era.

In the current reincarnation of the series I believe it is the first time as well. I do recall at least one episode with Peter Davison's Doctor where this was a fairly substantial plot line.

I was surprised to see 9 and 10's control room set. I thought that I had heard that they had pretty much torched that set when they filmed "The Eleventh Hour."

Castrovalva, when the new 5th Doctor was trying to escape "event zero", as I remember. And then I had to go look it up. I've been away from Doctor Who too long. I swore I wouldn't be interested in the reprise of the show, but after reading threads like this, I think I'll have to start.

As somebody who pays the BBC licence fee - I am glad they used an existing set rather than building a new one :)

And be careful of what you wish for, one of Baker's control rooms was a tad steampunk - I recall you are not too keen when the TARDIS is steampunked :)
