I thought there was some rule about posting threads before the airing - I made a whole new post before seeing this one.

A decent standalone episode but I'm confused by something. I thought Rory was some kind of robot/android version, after all he waited 2000 years for Amy and they even mentioned that last week.

It was watchable and fun but it felt like it didn't make the most of it's story and opportunities.

They did however have me convinced that Rory was dead, based on net rumors and the look on the Doctor's face + how long they went with it, I was pretty sure he was a goner.

Again-after The Doctor rebooted the Universe, everyone who was swallowed up by the cracks came back including Rory and Amy's parents. Rory does have memories of the 2000 years though from when he was an Auton.

The whole episode seemed kind of half-baked...in the sense that they didn't develop the ideas very much. And none of it really made much sense.

Oh, well, next week is Neil Gaiman and
    "The Doctor's Wife"
, so that should make up for it. Although I won't be able to watch until Sunday night at the earliest, grrr, argh (then again, I'll be having medieval fun in Kalamazoo, so I guess I shouldn't feel too sorry for myself).

This felt like an old Tom Baker episode. Nicely done for old Doctor Who fans. Often the old Doctor didn't know everything up front and made lots of mistakes. All they were missing were corridors.

Not sure if this should be spoilerized or not....so erring on the side of caution.

I can't wait to find out what's up with the eye patch lady. It's so random, and yet you know it's not random at all.

I mostly hate the fact that Moffatt is going back to "nobody dies, no matter how lame the solution is". It's always been a sore spot with me in regards to him.

I thought it was pretty good until the end. A bunch of pirates piloting a spaceship didn't make too much sense to me. That and a singing computer doctor that abducts people because of a drop or two of blood.

That's a reminder of last week, when the same thing happened. Obviously something that's going to be dealt with in the future, and that they want to keep fresh in our minds.

Same thing with the one-eyed woman spying on Amy from...wherever. Nothing to do with this episode, but they threw it in to keep us thinking about it.

I liked the singing doctor computer. It wasn't abducting people. It took them to sickbay. It just didn't know that a cut was not a life threatening thing for the first humans it encountered. Afterall, it just watched its own crew die from a cold.

Pirates in space? Why the hell not? It was a minor plot point anyway.

I suppose in Doctor Who threads we should spoiler-tag information from previous episodes, since we can't know when those episodes occur in the personal timelines of different viewers...

Is this episode available to any one else on Comcast On Demand yet? I've been checking all day and it's not there for me. Last week's episode showed up Sunday morning, but this week's isn't there. The "In America" special also isn't there.
