No, it's just that I got my hopes up.
Yeah, a note in the threat title might be in order....
Oh I know, I been waiting for the announcements myself.
Now I'm really glad I didn't get my sons' hopes up.
heh, poor TL.
If you start collecting the old stuff you have 26 years worth of episodes to watch.
I hook my computer up to my HDTV and watch it that way. This gives me a noticeably higher quality than the blur-tastic low-res analog Sci-Fi channel. It's relatively easy to use your computer with a modern digital television, if your computer has DVI or HDMI out, or your TV has a VGA in.
But, if you really want to wait for the Sci-Fi broadcasts, they start April 18.
I wait two weeks for Torchwood to start on HDNet...waiting two weeks for Doctor Who to get on Scifi is no problem...
as long as you mean April 18 2008, right?
Exactly, I don't mind waiting for the ease of HD broadcasts on SciFi, rather than downloading and running it thru the 360.
This might indeed be a better option, as long as you have Sci-Fi available to you in HD.... and as long as they don't do something incredibly stupid like pillarbox AND letterbox the video, or chop off the left/right sides then stretch the video like TNT or TBS does.
last season was fine in HD on scifi...
Yeah, I wouldn't know... we don't get it here, and our cable system isn't likely to get anything new anytime soon. And with our luck, when they finally DO get around to adding a new channel, it'd be something like QVC in HD or something else equally useless.
You can get DirecTV anywhere.
Ahh.. but I can't get DirecTV HD.
Really? Why not?
Line of sight issues for the bigger dish, I had regular DTV until last summer when I wanted to make the jump to HD. because I'm limited where I can put the dish I had to drop D and go to Comcast.
Not here. I'm in a north facing apartment.
That about sums it up! It was a very hard decision giving up TiVo to get the new HD channels, but I do loves me some Hi-Def!
I too will be watching it the next day...on my Apple TV...
I'm in love with Eve Myles.
