I assumed that this was a callback to the Eccleston episode Dalek when the Dalek said to the Doctor, "you would make a good Dalek".

Conspicuously absent were the Power Ranger Daleks. Hopefully that will be the start of a pattern.

I invite anyone with an issue (or interest) in the miniaturization and injection into a host to read the synopsis of "The Invisible Enemy" from the fifteenth season of the classic series.

For everyone complaining about not being able to understand what is being said, I don't think your ears or mind are the problem. The audio quality of Doctor Who on BBC America is TERRIBLE. I have a very nice setup and the second it switches to Doctor Who the audio becomes muffled and somewhat hollow. Top Gear and other shows I watch on BBC America are great. This is very, very annoying. Bad enough that it makes me want to wait for it to show up on Netflix or Amazon.

    I'm watching on DirecTV.

    What is up with heaven?

I agree that BBC America, at least on DirecTV is horrible.

I am not completely on board with the new doctor but I'm not going anywhere.

Well so far, the two entities that have ended up there, have died for The Doctor, the clockwork robot exited the escape pod after The Doctor instilled upon it the futility of it's existence, and the soldier chose death to save The Doctor, Clara & Journey Blue in order to 'return' Rusty to pre-radiation leak repair self hating Dalek self.

They explained it at the beginning of the show before they were miniaturized. No need to actually show them getting larger since they already showed the process of them getting smaller..

I liked this episode much better than the last one.

Did the robot jump or did the Doctor push him? It was left ambiguous, but I was leaning towards the Doctor pushing him.

Definitively jumped according to the Doctor Who podcast, though no sure how they worked that out. They do feel he may have talked him into it.

Lots of interesting observations from that podcast, including the roman symbols and such on the walls of Clara's school (= Pompeii ?), the first doctors companions were school teachers from the same school, two mixed race characters (not sure if that part is relevant) called Blue and Pink, Journey Blue (aka a blue thing that takes journies = a tardis)

I'm glad to have someone else notice all this stuff for me.

Oh and they point out that we don't really know that the being's in "heaven" actually died, Missy could have saved them at the last minute.

    Doctor Who doesn't do Heaven.

The question is does Missy transport the whole live body or does she merely download their memories.

And is she assembling people to sit in judgement on the Doctor or is she assembling an army to fight with him.

As far as the sound from BBC, we just turn on our audio system, and it boosts the center channel, which helps. But yes, Doctor Who's sound is muddy. Always has been.

If Missy is in the 'garden' that was from the episode "The Girl Who Waited", then she's physically there, and I would assume that their physical bodies are as well.

If she's in a garden that is a part of the world from "Silence in the Library", then it's all memories and we should expect to see Doctor Moon as well as River Song.

Missy: Hello! I’m Missy. You made it. I hope my boyfriend wasn’t too mean to you.

    Half-Face Man: Boyfriend?

Missy: Now, did he push you out of that thing or did you fall? Couldn’t really tell. He can be very mean sometimes. Except to me of course, because he loves me so much. I do like his new accent though. Think I might keep it.

Watching the previous episode I got crazy stalker from that.

But I can also imagine a humorous River Song saying the same words (or even an ironic Master).

The podcast that JohnB1000 referenced above included a pretty interesting theory about who Missy might be. I won't get into it here because I think it was, in part, based upon some knowledge gleaned from leaked scripts.

Without spoiling content, does anyone know which episodes had scripts/tapes leaked?

The Missy theory was based on some things they seemed to know about the season finale.

I'm liking the idea that she is
    The Rani.
I've seen that suggested in other threads here. I don't know if the suggestion was made based on advance knowledge or not, so I'll spoiler tag it just in case.

I didn't get the impression it came from leaked scripts. Are you talking about the kooky theory from this week?

Yeah, I think I'd call it kooky, but I actually kind of liked it, too. It was right at the end of the episode. I'll spoilerize:

It was regarding the Girl in the Fireplace theory. The theorist (can't remember his name) mentioned a number of reasons why he thought Missy might be a reconstituted Madame de Pompadour, and amongst his list he mentioned two things he seemed to know about the finale: (in next spoiler)

    Possible finale spoiler

    1. Missy is in it
    2. The cybermen are in it

How would he know that unless it was from a leaked finale script? Then again, if it was then he'd probably also know whether his theory was right or not.
