I have a dish301 that was activated on my previous address, now I moved to an appartment complex where I heard that Dish 351 is the one that my neighbors use. Is there a way to use my current 301 receiver on this system? Thanks

I read somewhere that the 351 is a really a 301 for use in apartment complexes. My guess is that the 301 won't work.

More info about Dish Network equipment can be found here.

The 351 is basically a 301 with a different sort of tuner made to tune a satellite signal that has been remodulated onto a more or less traditional cable distribution system. You need to use a 351 in your unit.
