DirecTV is spelling out the end of satellite service

    That might be the best present that DISH Network could receive from DirecTV.

    With 5G on the way, ditching the "dish" sounds like very smart business to me. The fact that you can use anyone's broadband means you could use Comcast or Charter broadband and DirectTV's package. So we get competition for the best package, the best DVR etc. I would just hope that TIVO can fit into this picture.

    AT&T has already killed off DirecTV with their terrible offshore customer service and billing practices.

    Agree, ATT has made DTV worse. Been a member since 2004, they keep calling offering me free s, but I can't understand the folks that call.
    Recently they offered me 3 months of a movie channel for free. Got billed for it and trying to explain it to them is frustrating!
