    I re-read the sticky before posting. #1 series 2 and 3 refer to branded Tivo DVR's if not mistaken. # 2. no. # 3. no. #4. no and then yes. #5. great. #6. excellent.

    1. Series 2
    2. Nope. (not official "TivoToGo" anyways...don't ask)
    3. Yep, but you don't really need a phone connection
    4. Not at all. All Series 2 directivos should be running 6.3e, but they're slightly different versions that have different backgrounds and other settings (ie, resolution and OTA settings) that aren't backwards compatible in either direction.
    5. The same as directv sends it out. Sometimes good pq, sometimes not so good.
    6. The OTA tuners aren't that great, but the PQ is.

    The only thing you may need to change for a wireless phone jack would be some phone dialing settings. I don't remember off-hand whether or not that's actually necessary or what would need to be done exactly. Call directv about it if needed, they can tell you.

    PQ=Picture Quality

    i wonder why TivoToGo is supposed to work with series 2 models but doesn't work with the HR10?

    Tivo and Directv never agreed upon adding it to any Directv tivos. I'm sure there's several reasons why, nothing really ever stated publicly.
