ok, my eyes are turning red from all the reading and not yet finding: :)

I have 4 components I'm trying to connect:

Motorola DCT 6200 Digital Cable Box (Metrocast) (using IR fine)
    Tivo 2 40 hr
    Onkyo A/V Receiver TX-DS474
    Panasonic Plasma TH-42PD50U

I've read about component connections (best), S-Video and composite (least quality?)
I've gone to Monster Cable site, Panasonic, Tivo diagrams and can't find a match., etc-etc
Anyone that has a similar set up or knowledge on the best way to connect all of these I'd really, really appreciate it.

    Thanks!

    Ontario Canada.
Component or HDMI from HD box to component on display.
Digital audio to receiver, or split analog audio.

S-video and Analog audio from cable box to TiVo, same from TiVo to display. and receiver if desired.

Better to get a cable box for the TiVo, perhaps.

Kind of a bummer - and of course the hype around a hi def plasma makes you (me) totally ignore my current TiVo in the mix...

I've been reading all kinds of 'rumours' here and I thought I read one that TiVo's solution is in skunk works - launch date 2007...(or later) - that true?

I certainly can't afford to have 2 digital cable boxes feeding one TV ~$100/mo never mind the channels and internet service on top of that.

    Thanks again.

Don't know about your cable company, but Comcast rents me a 2nd, non-hd digital box, for my Tivo to control, for $4.99 a month.
Highly recommended way to integrate Tivo and Hi-def.
