Tivo has not arrived yet. But I have a question as to whether or not I will be able to use the HDMI cable to go into my TV to provide digital audio Dolby surround.

The signal for the TiVo bolt enters through a coax RG six cable from an outdoor over the air antenna.
HDMI cable then goes into an HDMI separator or splitter to bring the audio signal into a Bose lifestyle 48 system utilizing an optical audio cable

Video signal then leaves the separator and goes into my HDMI input on my television.

The Bolt has an optical audio digital output. Some televisions also permit DD multichannel sound from their optical output.

If your HDMI splitter supports HDCP digital rights management handshaking, it should work fine.
