I am about to buy my first TiVo unit, the fancy new Series 3, from amazon. The only network adapter I can find on their site is TiVo Wireless G USB Network Adapter for Series2 DVR (AG0100) . I also looked on Best Buy and Circuit City and can't find one that says it works for Series 3 too. Only the TiVo site specifically calls out that they have one that works with Series 2 and Series 3. But it looks like the same adapter.

So, can I buy the one on amazon or my local store, or do I have to buy from TiVo?

It's the same adapter, it should work with both series 3 and series 2 units.

Thanks, I'll go ahead and buy it from amazon. They have the unit on sale for $599 and there is a brand new $200 rebate, so the Series 3 will only end up costing me $399.

Since the Series 3 has a built-in RJ-45 port, you could also connect it to a wireless bridge.
    If you were so inclined.
