Did everyone get this message?

    Just a weirdly worded message, especially appearing on devices that have no payment info needed.

    Same on Roamio, not Bolt, both lifetime.

    I suspect they sent the message to everyone with outdated billing info.

    The problem lies int he fact that billing info is per-TiVo. So if you have 5 TiVos, you have 5 separate credit card entries. If you have a lifetime TiVo, well, the credit card you used has probably expired.

    I guess they just sent the message that way without actually looking up if the subscription was lifetime.

    I looked at my TiVo account. The credit card info on my Bolts has unexpired dates (and they didn't show the message) so maybe that is what triggers it.

    I didn't get it on my Bolt or any of my 4 minis. Like @pdhenry, my CC info is up to date.

    I think it is like when pretty much everyone got the your TiVo will be deactivated on this date because you upgraded, just a mistake.

    Based on Worf and pdhenry posts I checked my billing info. I didn't get the message on my lifetime Bolt, I did get it on my lifetime Roamio. Bolt billing info shows cc exp date in 2020. Roamio shows cc exp date in 2018.

    Got it on my Roamio Pro - agree this is prob a credit card question. I haven't even thought about which credit card I used since I bought the lifetime sub. Bolts are probably too recent for the average credit card to be expired

    I got it on my Elite Premiere that had expired cc info, but no message on my Bolt that had current cc info. Both have Lifetime.

    I got the message on my lifetimed TiVoHDs.

    If I update my credit card info, will I start getting SkipMode?

    Payment for what? If all my units have lifetime, why do they care if I have a current card on file? I've seen some strange things in my life, so I'll just add this to that list.

    Just exactly what I did. Ignored it and deleted it. I have All-In/Lifetime on 3 Minis, 2 Roamios, 1 Premiere and a Bolt. If any business entity has no need to possess my CC info, they will not get it. How many times have we seen the info hacked?

    I have three lifetimes. My Series 2, which I haven't checked, has gone far and above what would be expected as its tenth year in service begins. The other two gave me the messages. I chose lifetime because the man at Radio Shack, who I had asked for a device that would record digital TV OTA (there were a couple of reasons why that didn't work for the Series 2), also said it would cost about $5 a month. Well, I've long since passed that for the Series 2. The Series 3 has less than a year to go before it is costing me $5 a month and the Roamio a few years more.

    I got the message on my Lifetime Roamio. Not sure why I need up to date payment information if I don't make any regular payments.

    Neither of my current boxes have Lifetime (Bolts - original issue). I haven't received any notifications at this time but a few months ago I got an email from Tivo that they could not charge my $9.99 monthly on one of them because the credit card info was wrong. huh? I just went in and re-input what it already was and there was no further issue.

    No idea how there was a determination that the pmt info was wrong. It wasn't even like the expiration date of the card needed to be updated.

    My Roamios and Premiere got the message, my Bolts did not. All have Lifetime. If it weren't for the fact the Bolts are excluded, I would suspect TiVo of Phishing us, but as it is I imagine either it's just a mistake, or possibly that they're preparing for some update offer.
