Dial up diconnect issue

    I have a Tivo that attempts to update itself. It connects successfully & gets about 10 min into download & says connection interupted. How do I trouble shoot this? phone line connection. I have also reset the machine several times & did the modem test as well. It always seems to connect fine & then fails during the download.... any ideas?

    Manufacturer and model number? Original or upgraded hard drive? Current working software version? You can keep forcing another call to Tivo. As I understand it if it is downloading new software it will pick up where it left off unless you do a test call which erases the partial download(s). When you see pending restart on the system info screen it will be done with the download and a forced restart should get you back in business.
