The taboo on incest is to prevent birth defects. I think that is what the original poster was talking about.

This season does feel sloppy to me, kinda like how Dexter is getting sloppy with pens and cell phone calls.

The "surprise" of Geller being dead was one of the worst kept secrets ever since we speculated that he wasn't real in the very first episode we saw him in! If Dexter hadn't found the body since at least there was some doubt. IMHO it would have been better to reveal Geller in the final episode. As it stands I envision a very predictable conclusion. Everyone races around trying to stop wormwood. They do. They catch the bad guy. *yawn*

They question is, will they have the guts to follow up on Dex's slip ups? I sure hope so!

But you can't really blame the writers for that. I think this season would have a totally different feel if we hadn't "figured" that out here.

I'd bet that a significantly higher percentage of viewers had no idea that was coming, than did.

My take on the Dr. is that she is getting an inkling about Dexter being a serial killer from the things Deb tells her. I am hoping that the Dr. is going to prod Deb into seeing the truth about Dexter. That would be interesting to watch.

I don't see how the Dr. is going to get an inkling about Dexter being a serial killer. The Morgans are a cop family, Dad was a cop, daughter cop, son a forensic rockstar. Deb has already said her dad and Dex spent a lot of time together and she was/felt left out, her fondness for Dexter could just be a symptom of Harry ignoring her as a child.

Unless Deb brings up some memory like dexter killing small animals when they were kids I don't see how the Dr. will get Dexter being a killer from the fact Deborah has poor choices in men.

There have been several things Deb has mentioned that the Dr. called attention to. Like him disappearing without explanation, his biological brother being the Ice Truck Killer, her being surrounded by killers, his mother being brutally murdered in front of him. I can't remember right now all the instances that made me think this.

Deb says things to the Dr. that suggest something isn't right about Dexter. I think the Dr. is going to lead Deb to question if something is up with Dexter.

I have to say that your storyline could be very interesting. I can see Deb closing in on Dexter with her susspisions only for Dexter to frame somebody else, right at the last second!

I'm of the feeling that Deb will discover and be brought into Dexter's secret, and ultimately take over for him at his demise - possibly even at her own hand! How many awestruck, excited f-bombs could she be dropping during that learning process!!!

I liked when they showed Dexter finding the Rabbit in the drawer. Made me LOL, especially based on the episode title!

Yeah that can't be sloppy writing. If that doesn't come to mean something I'm going to be very unhappy. I immediately said WTF when he did that.

Of course he is as he's the owner of the ITK arm now. I'm pretty sure that reaction from Dexter was not an act. He was seriously venting at that guy. He's been getting more upset with Harry in conversations about how he has no choice in the matter.

Don't feel bad, I didn't pay any attention on watching it and just assumed it was a drawer full of various toys. If there was a rabbit in there, I don't recall. Funny though.

I thought that at the time, but immediately jumped to the conclusion that he was carrying a pre-paid burner phone. Besides calls to 9-1-1 he wouldn't want to be on in the call logs of any of the other people being investigated.

Me, If I was living 2 lives I'd carry 2 phones.

I'm pretty sure Ricochet Rabbit was the name of the yacht. Although it's still funny.

I thought Dexter was mostly pretending to be upset with the video game because just a second before while looking at the game he seemed OK, and his voice-over didn't betray any anger. But I could be wrong.

    Yes, it was.

Which made the other Rabbit even funnier.

    That was the joke...

Somehow the idea of THAT rabbit and "ricochet" together sounds a bit painful! ;)
