I did not expect things to move so fast. This definitely exemplifies how one should never open ones mouth just because you think you've been caught. You don't know what they really know yet. :)

I'm really looking forward to Doakes' slice & dice, though.

A handcuffed, shot-in-the-leg Dexter wins in hand-to-hand combat with ex-special ops Doakes? Hmmm....

This is probably the greatest show that nobody knows about.

Well Dexter is trained in hand to hand combat and some pretty advanced stuff if I remember correctly.

Actually that award goes to Mad Men. This show was that last year.

I didn't think that Mad Men was ever anywhere near as good as Dexter.

Things moved a lot quicker than I thought they would tonight.
It'll be interesting to see what happens to caged Doakes.

To each their own but IMHO Mad Men is by far the best new show of this year.

I honestly have no idea how this is going to play out.

What's amazing about this show is that every episode I find myself saying "This is the best episode ever!"

How the hell do you keep up that level of quality??

That's pretty much how I see it.
    It really is exceptional.

My heart was in my throat right along with Dexter's during that long walk through the station. Talk about stress.

And on a completely shallow note, Keith Carradine growed up real nice :)

The main thing that stretched the believability there to me was Doakes' hesitation to shoot Dexter. Dexter winning the fight made more sense - motivation goes a long way. :)

I watched E08 last night, I had to watch this episode right away this morning... argh... will be hard to wait a whole week for the next episode!

At the risk of sounding like a broken record: Fantastic episode. Fantastic series. Can't wait for next week.

I had some trouble with that, too, but at that point Doakes already knew that the slides had been found in his car and that he was Prime Suspect as the BHB. He likely determined that he really needed Dexter alive in order to have the best shot at clearing himself.

And factor in his recent suspension for shooting suspects he may have been trying to be more careful about killing yet another person. I am sure it all plays into it. Not the most believable aspect but not that far fetched.

Not to mention that Dexter taunted him about not being able to clear his name if he shot Dexter.

Dexter's monologue was interesting about not being able to kill Doakes, because Doakes was innocent. Now, Lila on the other hand, I wonder when Dexter is going to figure out that Lila really "KILLED" her former boyfriend, IMHO, not an "accident" as she stated before. C'mon, she's a firebug-- remember he died in a fire?

It's going to be interesting to find out how Dexter takes care of the feeding of Doakes with the FBI tailing him on safety detail. I can't believe they wouldn't have someone watching the back of the apartment...in case Doakes tried to break in? How easy was that escape?

I look forward to an interesting heart-to-heart chat between Dexter and Doakes through the bars of that cell. How convenient that Jimenez had that cell installed in his drug cabin.

I agree this was a great episode but I also agree I had to suspend my disbelief at several moments...

We've seen Doakes and Dexter in arm to arm combat before and I thought Doakes went down too fast...

Going out the bathroom window was just silly ;)

Ooh - I had forgotten and/or not picked up on that particular bit of her backstory. Given that, I'd say she's definitely going down.

Have to pipe in. Awesome episode and things really moved faster than I thought they would. I don't think he kills Doakes next week, but not sure how that plays out.

Lila needs to be diced and dumped though.

Maybe Lila will kill Doakes (somehow), and then Dexter will kill Lila?
