Well, there was some pretty specific information in that first post. There is no way someone could just guess that Miguel was going to do those things no matter how much ability to see what's coming they possess. I don't personally care either way, but I can respect that some people do.

Did you just off someone? How is it -1 instead of just +0? :)

It seems you are of the Miguel school of thought, where "the code" is not important, as opposed to the Dexter school of thought.

I balanced out verdugan's + 1 with my own -1. So we are back at 0! HOLLA!

Hey. We can have different CODES. And as friends be able to coexist with two different codes.

The debate about spoilers is tired by now. The simple fact is it's 100x easier to type the spoiler tag than it is to avoid the spoilers. It's even easier to type the spoiler tag than to have this argument. Can the OP please go up and put those tags in now, please? There's an Edit button on the lower right. Everyone who quoted it, too. Or can a moderator jump in and handle that?

Personally I was thinking it more likely he was going to go for Rita. The mirroring of the speech about wisdom and the coincidence of him being alone with her earlier made it seem like a bigger threat, particularly given her being in a family way. But that's just speculation.

Poor LaGuerta. She has to stop liking people, especially near middles of seasons.

I have to say that I've watched this show from day one and Miguel is by far my favorite guest. Maybe I'm partial because I was upset to see Cane get the axe but still. I heard he only signed for this season. That's unfortunate. I think it would be really great for more than only a couple episodes seeing those two play games with each other, much like Dexter and Doakes did last season.

Yeah... we'll see how well that works out for Dexter and Miguel. Personally I'm not too optimistic for the survival of that friendship (or even of Miguel himself, for that matter).

I agree with TAsunder the rules are very clear and it doesn't cost you anything to obey them. And if you can't you can either lobby to get them changed in a responsible way, or post somewhere else. People make mistakes and that's no problem, but intentionally breaking them is just rude.

I also agree with TAsunder that the most interesting thing about this episode to me was what happened between Miguel and the Skinner while the cameras were off. It was definitely something more than just an offer and refusal. It was even (IMO) more than Miguel just chatting with him until he could believably say he failed to cut a deal, so the skinner would go free and Miguel could handle him his own way. I think Miguel made some kind of pact with him, related to his relationship with Dexter. Scary.

This was the first episode since the season started that I didn't fast forward through most of it.

Casting Jimmy Smits just about ruined Dexter for me - and I'm happy to see a conflict arising instead of the buddy buddy themes.

Is George King the guy that was on Fame a gazillion years ago? I have to go look that up :)

 Why would someone FFWD through most of the episodes of such a show?? You miss all of the subtle character building points and plot points. Are you just looking for gore or sex scenes? Try them within the context of the show and your enjoyment of the show as a whole will rise exponentially.

I forgot about that part -- I'll have to check it out again. I also took Miguel's ominous "threat" to Dexter as a dark shadow over Rita, and nobody threatens Dexter's family without consequences.

I agree. If you are indeed FF'ing through Dexter, what exactly would make you stop FF'ing and hit the play button?

True, but usually when someone goes missing and they suspect foul play, there is a very short list of suspects. With a DA it's every person he's ever convicted. Makes it a lot less likely for them to tie it back to Dexter.
