Is there a quick way to delete recordings without having to confirm?
Nope. The quickest way to delete is to press "clear" in Now Playing, but you still have to confirm.
Just thought i would ask again since 7.3.1 seems slow to delete recordings.
We'll the clear button no longer requires a confirm. So there's your answer.
I find the delete to be faster since 7.3.x You don't have to wait for the X to go away you know. Just queue a whole bunch up at once.
The clear button only sends it to another folder. To actually delete a recording from that folder, you have to confirm.
Why delete it from the RD folder? It's not taking up space of other recordings.
Like it says in my sig *TiVo, TV your way.* 'nuff said.
Maybe i should clarify a bit.
I'm using the clear button on the "tivo sugestions"
It's kinda wonky
1.) the tivo logo to the left of the name turns to an x and then allows you to delete
2.) so you move the selection down or up and sometimes it deletes what you want and other times it doesn't because the previous deletes start catching up.
Anyway, it would be nice to connect to the tivo via a web interface, ppick all the recording you want to delete and then delete them at the same time.
Why are you deleting suggestions? Do you have your programs organized by group (press enter on now playing)?
I know deleting programs on my S2 DT and ST seems slow, despite the fact that they run perfectly otherwise.
I'm just getting used to the short delay, and if you're quick enough and know where you're going with it you can usually put that X on a bunch of them before it starts to remove and jumble them and you end up hitting delete on keepers.
Maybe i should use the more and forget about deleting the sugestions.
As mentioned before, if you group your programs in folders, all the suggestions are in one folder. None of your recorded programs will be deleted to make way for suggestions. Suggestions will always be deleted before your recorded programs (even ones with the ! ball) to record another program. So there is really not much reason to worry about deleting suggestions.
I LOATHE that freakin' X. I don't care if it allows me to delete it, it's SO SLOW.
