Have a couple programs that are stuck in recently deleted. I can move them back and forth between now playing and RD, but can't permanently delete.

I have tried soft reboot (through setup) and hard reboot (yanking the plug.)
I have a tivo premiere with the WD 1TB tivo drive expander that was just updated to 14.9.2.2 last night. Everything is less than a week old.

    Any suggestions?

I have to say, being a subscriber since 2000 (S1 lifetime, S2 lifetime and now the premier lifetime,) I'm shocked at just how bad the software QC and performance is on the new boxes. HD menu lag, random reboots / crashes, features that don't work as advertised (lost my netflix youtube icons after the first full update catch up (unit mfr'd October 2011 shipped out with very buggy software version 14.5) Sad, Sad, Sad. I loved my S1 and S2....

    What happens when you try?

Does it pretend to do it?

Does it give you any kind of error message?

It goes through the motions (select permanently delete, tells me I dont have to do this but asks if I want to anyway. I select permamently delete. The program is still there, and am still able to move it back and forth between NP and RD.

Called TiVo tech support. They said the only way to get rid of it if the reboot isnt working is to clear & delete everything. I told them that wasn't an option since I have a ton of stuff on there I transferred from my S2 box last week.

There's something just not right about the only way to fix something requiring the undoing of why you bought the thing in the first place--the recordings.

You would think. It's called laziness and no competition. I mean, they already got my money.

I had this happen once on my S2 and a reboot fixed it. You would figure they would take an interest on why it is happening, look at my box...something. Nope. Just a "wipe it to get rid of it" was all I got.

If it wasn't for the fact that I just got HD service, I would have never gone with the premier with all the bitching I heard about the software, the new hardware, etc.

If the solution is to delete all the programming, then just return the Premiere for a refund and get a used S3 with lifetime service and pocket the extra $50 - $100. How do you know it won't happen again?

Truth is, I don't... I still have a couple weels left on the tivo 30day. You can bet I'm going to absolutely crush this thing the next week or so to see if it happens again. If anything, I just may forgo the premiere all together and go back to my SD series 2 with lifetime. It may be SD, but it was bullet proof.
