I hadn't heard this. I loved this show and already saw all of the episodes but it'll be great to watch them all again!

Too bad it only lasted 2 seasons, I've already bought both boxed sets.
I didn't even get to see it before it was canceled. (Well I caught the final episode during a free preview weekend).

It's a shame that show didn't get a few more seasons. It was quite good.

I thought for sure I'd be seeing the guy who played Mason (Callum Blue) in more things, but since DLM, he hasn't done much.

As long as they remain on HDnet as well, I'm cool with it. It's great watching DLM without commercial interruptions, uncensored, in high definition. :)

I really liked this show but there was a huge change and difference between season 1 and 2 that was just weird. Like a lot of things that happened in season 1 that were ignored in season 2 because the new producers did not like it.

Like the fact that they look 100% different (and butt ugly) to us mortals than they did in their previous life? They certainly threw this out the window when they gave George a love interest.

I loved the show, but I don't think it will be as good with the censored language.

This wasn't really made clear in the context of the show, but
because the kid was schizophrenic, supposedly he could see George, not "Millie."

I have never heard of this show but it sounds intriguing. If SciFi bleeps all through it, I am borrowing the DVDs from Netflix.

I remember watching a movie on SciFi, and they bleeped so much on every cuss word (why do they bleep out "god" on "god damn" is beyond me) that I gave up watching the movie. Just don't broadcast the stupid movie if the language is too much for your prudish censors.

George was a big fan of the F-word so I would suggest Netflix. :D

Censoring is a concern unless the DLM crew filmed alternate takes. Without spoiling the show for new viewers, I'm thinking specifically of how Joy and George share a certain expression. If those lines are changed, I hope they at least match in the edited version.

How do you figure? If you're saying pseudo-George was too ugly to get a guy... no.

    Edit: Proof:

Hollywood head shots don't count!!! :D

Once the makeup department was done with her, UnGeorge wasn't nearly as fetching. Maybe "butt ugly" was a little harsh. But they weren't very pretty.

I think you can say sh*t on regular TV nowdays, can't you?

Either way, SCI-FI doesn't have to play by the same FCC rules as broadcast TV,
have you seen what they get away with on shows like Rescue Me on FX or The Shield on FX (or the reruns currently playing on SpikeTV?)
Although, I'm sure the F bomb will be heavily edited.

I've been rewatching them on HDNet.
It was one of the best TV shows ever on Showtime, but so much better in HD.
I didn't have HD when they were originally shown on Showtime, so I'm glad HDNet got them.

I faile to see how a show can get better simply because its shown in HD. A show's quality does not improve or denegrate because of the picture resolution.

Supposedly (as proved by a certain episode of South Park :D ) but in practice, most stations still bleep it.
