Well, THAT was a big disappointment. I hate the Arrow flashbacks and this episode was about two thirds of useless fake flashback.

The Supergirl, Flash and Cisco subplot was spoiled by Rene, the hockey mask dude, being a complete and utter a-hole as usual.

Seemed kind of odd that the Dominators dressed the captured Arrow/LoT guys in pajamas. Their escape from the mothership was pretty stupid. First, the Dominators just happen to leave a particle beam weapon on the wall where Ollie can grab it. Then they somehow figured out how to escape in an alien spaceship.

I kinda like the idea of an alternate reality Diggle being The Hood.

This was more of an Arrow reunion show than a DC crossover event.

My guess is this is the "cheap" episode. The big budget, CGI-fest, was used on The Flash and tonight's Legends conclusion.

i enjoyed it. Maybe because I've never watched Arrow. I didn't know who everyone was or their backstories but I picked up on most of it. I did get a little confused on who was put in the dream for a bit because I was not used to seeing these people.

I'm sure Species 8472 will go back to fluidic space soon enough.....

*shrugs* As someone who doesn't watch Arrow, this meant little to me.

I haven't watched Arrow in a while. I was a bit lost with some of the new characters. Who is the hockey mask dude? I was also surprised to see Mr. Terrific.

I think it felt that way was because this was the 100th episode.

That's Wild Dog. The group of people with Felicity in this episode are Ollie's new apprentices...Mr Terrific, Ragman, Wild Dog, and Artemis.

Ragman? It took me a moment to remember him from the comics. Does his suit give him similar abilities?

Pretty much. The comic book suit is powered by the souls of his defeated enemies, and I haven't seen any indication that that's what's going on here. He can draw on the souls to increase his own strength, speed, agility, etc., and he can use the souls to absorb damage that would otherwise be taken by himself. (Extra hit points, if you will.) He can also manipulate it physically (as the TV guy does), and use it as a teleporter.

I have to admit that I laughed when they first introduced Wild Dog this season because that's really scraping the bottom of the DC character barrel in terms of obscurity.
(I think that the only reason I readily remember Wild Dog is because he was created by Max Allan Collins.)

I'm thinking that Rick Gonzalez is probably pretty committed to the part though as I don't remember him being this buff in Reaper. In fact, I remember him as being rather skinny.

Though originally, the Ragman suit was just a suit.
    The mystical elements came later.

Well, it could be that Gonzalez thought, "It's one thing to look good next to Tyler Labine, but if I'm going to be running with Stephen Amell, I'd better look like I can keep up."

I've noticed that Gonzales is not part of the regular cast (unlike, say, Echo Kellum). Dunno if that means anything.

I suspect the reason Echo is in and none of the other "newbies" are is because he's been on the show for a couple years now. And I suspect if any of the others stick around, they'll end up in the title credits as well...

It means that Gonzalez is currently considered a recurring "Guest Star" and has no contract with the producers to appear as a series regular.

Whether or not he gets signed to a contract for regular appearances on the show depends on how well the producers feel he's working out and what plans they come up with for his character.

(Note that Emily Bett Rickards was recurring for Season 1 and didn't get bumped to series regular and title credits until Season 2.)

As long as they don't bring in Wild Pup, I'm cool with Gonzalez.

Oh, and I'll go ahead and post the guess I have for Prometheus is that he's also Felicity's cop boyfriend, Billy Malone.

It seems like it should be someone related to the flashbacks this season, with the Bratva. I guess it could be both -- maybe your pick is associated with one of the guys Oliver killed while working with the Bratva? I was thinking it might be Oliver's "friend" in the Bratva.
