I have a Pioneer 810-H Series 2 TIVO and a Directv standard definition receiver. DTV wants to replace the receiver due to chronic problems with it. The new ones do not have the RJ14 or RS232 data ports to allow TIVO to change the receiver's channels. Can I adapt the cable from the TIVO stereo plug to the USB port in the receiver? If so, where can I find such an adapter?

    Thanks

Regarding your query, I would have to say that what you need is an IR blaster cable. It connects to the IR remote control window as well as to the Tivo IR port on the receiver. By the way, almost all brand receivers of DirecTV applianceswill work with Paterson serial to USB convertor.
