I liked her in Grindhouse.

Well, there's the Wilson Fisk we all know and love.
I did wonder in the previous episode if that was Vanessa.
Now we know.

 

Watched 4 episodes and I'm not really enjoying it. Better then most tv. But I don't find it that great. Usually 4 eps in a show will hook you or not. I'd say not because I could not watch the rest and not be bothered.

It's a good looking show. And I like the level of violence. But the story is boring and I don't find the characters interesting or real. The characters and writing feels very cliched.

And the line about his father -- I don't recall, in the comics did Wilson kill his father? I seem to recall something about his first kill, and washing his hands off in the gutter.

 

Have enjoyed each episode more and more but my disappointment in D'Onofrio as Kingpin is COLOSSAL. He is nothing more than an evil version of Detective Goren (Law & Order: Criminal Intent) with body armor. The speech patterns and mannerisms are identical. Very disappointing.

I like D'Onofrio and since I never watched any L&O except the original, I haven't seen him in much so I don't have to unlearn any character of his .

I agree he doesn't have the physicality of Kingpin, but really what actor would? I think they're trying to go a slightly different way, than physical size.

 

I think it's because he's not really "Kingpin" yet - we are watching the birth of the Daredevil but also the birth of the Kingpin.

 

Oops... I missed that. I must have been looking down at my iPad when that happened.

I always think of him as the police chief in Demolition Man.

 

I'm loving this show but it is way too intense for me to binge watch.
