Did not expect 10s so soon. But not surprised Gilles got a 30. Not because he was that good but because the judges love him. Lil Kim was my favorite and Melissa (Bachelorette) a close second.

Would like to see Julianne and Chuck go. I find them annoying. But with a double elimination it's definitely Holly and Steve-O. The Woz unfortunately will be around as the viewers love him. I don't get it at all. He's so freakin' weird and so socially awkward!

I expected Shawn Johnson to hit it out of the park since she was given the Lindy Hop but I agree with the judges. Too many gymnastics involved. And LT seems lost and uncomfortable. David Alan Grier and Ty Murray...boring.

Speaking of Gilles, I finally saw the 'Sex in the City' movie. Hot. Just hot.

Watching the bottom three, I am at peace. Any two of them could go and I would be happy. :)

I thought Gilles' routine was 30-worthy... very impressive!

Given the choice I wish Steve-O had gone over either Holly or Woz. Steve-O looks like he wants to go now, he is done. But now he has to come back next week and dance again.

No he doesn't. He can drop out if he really wants to. With the back issues he's had, who would blame him?

I think Steve W. and Holly were the correct choice to go this week. Watching Woz was just uncomfortable and I was getting tired of hearing Carrie-Ann complain that Holly didn't have the "strength" to support herself. Did they expect her to pump iron and increase her leg strength 4-fold over the course of 1 week?

Steve-O will go soon but he still strikes me as someone that wants to improve. As far as I can tell he's always looked downtrodden in the results shows.

A little OT, but I often wonder what's on that paper that Carrie Ann Inaba keeps handing to someone behind her, after each dance couples' routine just finishes.

If you haven't seen her do it, watch for it on Monday night.

ME TOO! I pointed that out to my wife a few weeks ago and now we notice it after almost every dance. We really have no idea what it could be.

Carrie Ann was complaining about her core strength (abs and back). You need that for good self-carriage and balance.

But your point is well-taken -- she had much less time to do anything about it than the other competitors.

My wife had said that was what Carrie Ann was doing, but I disagreed because I didn't see the point of doing that.
Thanks to sallypnut for the link. It now makes sense that the judges wouldn't be sitting there with 10 paddles.

Score displayed on a blank paddle graphically by the "booth" people makes sense. Yes, very interesting !

But a couple weeks back, Bruno put up his paddle backwards, and had to turn it around.

I think the article is actually saying that they hand off the scores so that when they hold up the numbered paddles, the graphics can also have the proper score show up at the bottom of the screen simultaneously. The paddles actually have the scores on them.

Yeah that's what I think, too. When Bruno put up his paddle backwards a couple weeks ago, there was a 5 written in marker on the back of it before he turned it around.
