Daily call problems!

    Has anyone seen this problem, I had to switch my phone system to digital (Comcast) since the company was phasing out the old system. This package comes with voice mail.

    I have four Tivo units two are series two ( 810H and SIR S4040R) plus two series one ( HDR112 and HDR312) units.

    Here is the problem both the series 1 units make the daily call just fine with or without the voice message option. The two series 2 units fail when making the call and it does matter where the voice message option is set.

    I have checked and all the units and they are getting a good working phone connection.

    Any thoughts ??

    Telling us how the phone dialing options are set on each of the Tivos may be helpful.

    Mick here are the setting for the four machines.

    Phone Option setting:
    Set Dial-In number…………..….. Local number
    Set Dial Prefix ………………….. None
    Set Call Waiting Prefix ………… None
    Set Tone/Pluse …………………. Tone
    Set ‘Phone Avail.’ Detection ……Off
    Set Phone Tone Detection …….. (Tried it with it 'on' and 'off' settings)

    Phone test will pass everyone once in a while but not all the time and have not been successful on getting it to connect to Tivo.
