Not really sure, considering it was Larry telling the story.

    Whoa!
    Mister Softee was real???
I thought it was fabricated for this episode. That is hilarious.
BRAVO to Mr. David for bringing it home in an episode about impotence.
I bet that's been rolling around in his head for along long time.
This ep certainly felt like a classic Seinfeld. Brilliant, just brilliant.

I love the whole NY arc. Was it ever discussed in the show? If yes, I missed it or can not recall. Reminiscent of the I Love Lucy gang going to California.
    Great. Great. Great.

Mr. Softee is absolutely real. They make excellent soft ice cream and their chocolate shakes are to die for (I used to get one once a week when I worked on Wall Street and there was always a truck there in the afternoons. And the tune played on the truck in the episode is the authentic Mr. Softee tune.

Larry left to go to NY because he wanted to get out of a charity function. Susie and Jeff were already going and Larry got offered to use an apartment in NY if he ever wanted to.

Remember Larry had gone to NY once before, to do The Producers. And of course, he's a native of Brooklyn (from my neighborhood actually, but he went to a different HS and I think he's a bit older than me).
