I hope not - they FINALLY got Cox On Demand TiVo App working!
I suspect that Cox has no idea when it will be fixed because the fix depends on ... TIVO! It's the perfect storm, two inept companies "working" together.
Maybe, I'm still not sure how this happened when zap2it has the right listings?
If I ever do end up with a Cox box only, it will be the most basic TV package they have for the DVR and I'll stream everything else. They'll end up with less of my money, not more.
I was on the verge of switching entirely to YouTube TV, but managed to get a big discount for my Cox services which kept me from switching for now, but I'm fully ready to pull the plug if I need to. During this Cox fiasco I've activated YouTube TV for a month to tide me over. The nice thing about YouTube TV is you can turn on/off month to month, and it remembers your "season passes" in your account so you don't have to setup everything again after re-activating. So I've got "season passes" mirrored on YTTV and TiVo. For the couple of missed episodes not recorded on TiVo because of this Cox mess I was able to use VOD on YTTV to watch them (commercial free surprisingly).
The Lakers game @10:30am today on 1065=SPECSN is not in TiVo listings but is in zap2it. Trying a manual connect now, but not sure if the listings for our current workaround lineup are getting timely updates. Guess will probably need to resort to manual recording.
seems odd when (as others have said) MV is ok; also I can't find any other references in these Tivo Community forums about other areas of the country having this problem with Cox - TiVo guide.
I have a Cox, Cisco set top box in Orange County, and its’ listings are correct for nearly everything, as is my other DVR, using Zap2it. However, just the TiVo is still listing Channel 1131, MTVLive HD, as the European version, from Poland. That CAN’T be Cox’s problem, can it?
That sounds like a TiVo listings issue.
Yeah, pretty sure it is, since MTV Live HD runs completely different shows than the USA channel does. Which is too bad - the Euro version is better, now that I see their listings, lol.
Anyway, just spent 40 minutes on the phone with a TiVo Worldwide tech support rep getting him to confirm he was seeing the same, wrong listings I was. Lotta luck that will be....
It really does make me sad, remembering TiVo Margaret, and the good times we paying customers used to have.
Anyone know if the regular lineup has been restored? The mission Viejo lineup isn't perfect. I still find occasional channels that show the guide for an east coast feed and is incorrect.
Have you sent a complaint to TiVo? That’s the only way it will be fixed. What channels, Ill look at my lineup...
Not sure if anyone has noticed, but there are TWO Cox Communications Orange County Ca. Lineups available again. It’s possible the ‘Aliso Viejo’ version still has some wrong guide info. Still checking what the H is going on...
FWIW I received an email from TIVO this afternoon that they have "fixed" the lineup issues with Cox Orange County listings; so far I have not tried to reset back to Orange County Standard from Orange County Mission Viejo to verify; but has anyone who did not reset their guide notice if they guide has been corrected?
Wow, they sent you an email? Had you filed an official listing complaint form? The MTVLive HD, channel 1131 listings were still wrong on the Aliso Viejo selection, but they re-added the ‘standard’ Orange County listings, and MTV is now correct there, showing U.S. listings as opposed to U.K. listings for channel 1131. Most other channels I’ve checked seem correct. Since people aren’t whining, I assume the majority have been corrected.
I also tried the updated Orange County listing on one of my Tivos. Seems ok. No more East Coast network feeds.
Yes, I had contacted Tivo customer care back when the problem first appeared and was assigned a case number. The email referenced that case number. They originally said it would take 1 - 2 weeks; it's been closer to 3.
I just reverted my Roamio back to normal lineup. Looks OK again.
For anyone that had this lineup issue, can you confirm if your Tuning Adaptor is also working? Both of mine stopped working at the same time this occurred and COX can’t seem to figure it out.
No issues here for my 2 TAs. Solid orange on both.
Thank you for confirming that. That at least eliminates this prior issue from the equation.
