Starting today 7-30-07 the shows all say "Due to copyright, show will deleat" in about 2 hours! The message on Tivo unit says go to "tivo/copyprotection", but there is no such place!

It is not happening on the Series 2 or 1 (4 of them) that I have, just the HD unit. Anyone else having this issue?

If Tivo is only holding the shows for 2 hours, then why did I buy one?

All programs on all channels? Complain to your cable company - they've made a mistake and are setting the copy-never flag on their signals.

    Try resetting your Tivo.

I saw this happen on an Amazon Unbox freebie download last weekend...very strange.

I changed it to "Save Until I Delete" and it updated, but I'd never seen anything like that before.

There sure is, but there is also a Help Forum. In fact its this forum :) and it says...

"Have a TiVo issue and need to seek help? Come on in and lets talk."

It sure sounds like some kind of software issue, and the OP says it's not doing it on the Series1 or Series2 unit they have. Sure seems like posting it in the Series3 forum would have been a better idea. :)

I have a series 2 TiVo. Recently I found that I could not play a movie and copy to my DVDR. It saved it as long as I wanted. This happened on two different movies which were aired on AMC. I guess my question has been answered by someone already. I just didn't know that there was a new policy, and who was perpetrating it. I understand the reason for new movies, but not for old ones.

That is interesting. Do you use TiVoToGo? I was wondering if it showed the no-copy/transfer bit on your computer? Thanks for posting!

I saw this on an HD show recorded from Discovery.
When I had mp XP MCE PC running, it wouldn't record "Sunday Morning Shootout," so I'm not surprised AMC is turning on copy flags.
