Recently, I purchased a Tivo Premiere, and moved my Series 2 to a different location. At the new location the fan on the Series2 is now making a ridiculous amount of noise.

I've tried leaving the Tivo on Standby, but the fan continues to run. The Series2 was upgraded with a 1 tb drive, and a second fan, so I decided to disconnect the noisy fan.

After a day, I just checked the internal temp, and its at 51C, which it says is normal, but still seems a bit high.

Should I just try to find a quiet fan, or is this temperature ok?

I'd get a new fan. 51C is right on the edge for most chips. My S2DTs all run around 38-40.
