Was she in the Dean's office? That one is just stuck on the wall.
Did anyone notice that Busy Phillips & Dan Byrd from Cougar Town were in this episode for a second when they were showing the crowd cheering after Pierce won?! I had to rewind a bit to make it was really the tow of them. Neither of them had a single line.
And the next question is, why were they in it?!?
Because Abed professed his love of Cougar Town in an ep earlier this season. Bill Lawrence, EP of Cougar Town, and Dan Harmon worked this out as a response.
I was wondering because I thought that Community's chances of renewal was slim due to it's lackluster ratings.
So when it was renewed, I was wondering if they had agreed to cut costs for the renewal.
Dropping Chase would be an obvious cost cutting move as he probably has the second highest salary (if not the highest) of the regulars and his character is probably the most expendable.
However, the post by cmontyburns would indicate otherwise.
Community was already renewed awhile ago.
Yeah, it was renewed a couple of months ago with The Office and Parks and Recreation.
I love Magnitude. I cannot help but laugh every time he says "Pop pop!"
And how Pop Pop was still hadn't moved and was on the floor later on the scene? Funny as hell.
Except when they all chanted "For Greendale!" That's when he "broke" and joined in the chant.
I loved it when Jeff was shot and he instantly changed from "into it" to apathetic. "I'm out."
Not only that, but "I'm out. We lost."
Denny's is for winners!
You stole my default reply!
We thought it was an ok episode..not quite on par with some of the other episodes.
You know Pierce will be back though...
I rewound and watched that part a second time because it had me confused as well. It looked like a ceiling tile falling. I think the intent was to show that they were so focused on waiting for Pierce to come back in that they didn't even notice part of the room falling apart behind them.
That is so funny... What a lot of work for such a small bit, but it is the little things.
I just finished watching the paintball episodes together. Good stuff.
Also Dan Harmon was recently on an episode of the WTF Podcast with Marc Maron. Very good interview, and you get to here how he got into the concept of using the background as a variable while keeping the characters the same.
Watching these final two episodes I just think the show has to be so much fun for the actors. Especially something like this which is outside what they normally get to do on a sitcom like show.
Also interesting to hear how he intentionally kept the show within the confines of the college season 1 so that he could expand and make the show seem bigger in season 2.
Very good interview for anyone who is a Community fan.
Spoiler about another series which relates to Community:
Abed appeared in a scene in Cougar Town.
