NBC can BIH for pulling this brilliant show off the air, even if temporarily. This entire episode was fantastic; funny, warm, and very, very clever.

And the songs were great: the entirety of "Baby-Boomer Christmas", Annie winding up her hilariously disturbing song with "boop-boop... sex!", Troy rapping... all of it.

Just terrific TV. Great work, Community. BIH, NBC.

This is the only sitcom I ever watch twice the night it airs. Best show on TV right now. Or, best show recently on TV.

Also, in the Season 1 DVD commentary tracks, they make a lot of jokingly jealous comments about the success of Glee.

I liked all the "What the __ are Regionals?" comments. I can never remember which one comes first between Regionals and Sectionals.

I've never seen Glee but I loved this episode. I still won't watch Glee.

I don't think there can ever be any diminishing returns of Allison Brie's sexiness.

That (which I haven't heard) and the whole "Streets Ahead" talk.. :)

I wonder if Harmon & Murphy are actually good friends...

Fantastic ep. I loved being able to see a little bit of the Childish Gambino come out of Troy (for those of you who don't know - uber-talented Donald Glover not only used to write for 30 Rock, but also has a hip-hop career on the side as the Childish Gambino).

    NBC, you suck right now.

If Alison Brie's little dance number doesn't get Community picked up for next season, then I don't know what will.

I didn't know that. According to imdb, wrote for 2 episodes, story editor for 22 (1 season I guess).

    Has anybody seen "Mystery Team"?

    People's...
I wonder how many people recognized the allusion right near the middle when Britta finds that even Jeff has succumbed. It was done pitch-perfect, and they even gave him a good reason to be making a similar sound. I absolutely lost it. (If you don't know the allusion... watch here though it'd help to have seen the movie first!)

And yeah, Annie's sexy has to go a long way to hit diminishing returns.

I also don't watch Glee, and I figure given how hard I was laughing maybe it's a good thing.

Britta's body suit during the pageant was disturbingly tight. If a black woman had been wearing that, they'd have had to pixelate all kinds of stuff.

Loved all the rips on Glee, especially the allusions to how creepy Mr. Schu is.

Argh! I was hoping it would be the part when she is on all fours and walking towards the camera!

So much to love about this episode, so much to hate about NBC shelving the series.

Besides absolutely loving Annie's Betty Boop, I loved the way that Jeff ratted out the current Glee club to ASCAP. The way Pierce was seduced into joining by his generation's well-known vanity. The dig at old gawd-awful Dr Who Christmas episodes. The clone of the Glee piano player appearing out of nowhere, with no explanation. The incessant 'sectionals' references.

Was that a "Hellraiser" reference with the guy in the icicle costume? And I'm not sure what the dead bubby bit referenced. Was the bus crash that took ou the prior Glee club a "Veronica Mars" reference? Anyone know of a list anywhere of all the digs and references in this episode?
