    Hello All,

I've had my 1TB Bolt unit for about 1 month now. It's currently running 20.5.9 and I've just set it for early update to 20.6.1 (Thanks for the link). When watching live TV, mostly sports we've noticed the audio level goes up and down sporadicly. Today we're flipping between PGA and NHL and the audio drop to an inaudible level on both CBS and NBC. Sometimes this is during commercial break, sometimes it during commentary. Audio is set to DD and this is the only device that does this. I searched the forums and see this happens with Plex (horrid client on TiVo) but not in general. would you think this is a feature or a bug?

    Thanks!

I'll go with defect. The only time I have heard audio levels change on live TV or recordings is with Jimmy Kimmel. I only watch the recordings, but it does seem to have some sort of audio leveling. On live TV I never see a difference, except perhaps too much bass boost on The Weather Channel.

I will say that a recording is 3 to 6 dB lower than regular viewing. That might be my feed which has a -3dB dialog drop according to my AVR.

Thanks Joe, I'll call TiVo and report back on what they say.

Lowering on commercials would be a great feature, I just didn't see it in the documentation. I may wait until the update pushes and see if it's resolved. LOL, I was all grumpy when it was happening during The Masters and the then Jordan Spieth went all Tin Cup anyway ...
