OMG, they killed off one of the kids!?! Quite brutally, too.

I can’t help but think they’re making an allegory about 1939 Poland for the Millennial crowd, lest we forget.

How can the Redhats possibly expect to go back to normal society after these executions? Even when all the aliens leave, they would have to live among fellow humans again. At the very least, they would be war criminals.

I guess that’s a point the show is making too.

    It's S03E05, not S05E03. Minor detail, but..........

No, it’s 13 episodes. I screwed up the season and ep numbers in the title.

So at least we now know why there was nobody at the camp when Broussard and Amy arrived there at the end of the previous episode.

And, again, Snyder is dancing on the head of a pin, trying not to fall into good or evil, with juicy rationalizations for every choice he makes.

If they were really saving humankind from extinction? Then I don't think so...

It’s a fine line. I don’t think the general population would welcome them with open arms.

Snyder has been a real enigma, easily switching between a sympathetic victim and an unforgivable traitor. He has been one of the most interesting characters to watch - more so than any of the Bowmans in the last few episodes.

Yeah, I was thinking about Snyder's actions in regard to Charlie. Did Snyder cause Charlie's death by calling in the greyhats? Or did he save the rest of the Bowman family (and countless other humans) by preventing the destruction of the glowy orb?

Devastating. Devastated. I was having a binge-watch afternoon to catch up and just finished this ep. I'm leaving the next ep sit in my queue until I recover. This was an amazing ep, so much to process, so much to ponder. So much to grieve, and maybe even a teeny bit to celebrate. The writing, the direction, the ACTING, even the set design, all super-high quality work. I am in awe. (Now I scurry off to read the reactions on *other* forums)

I'm glad they killed off Charlie. It's not that I had anything against the character, but at least the writers had the balls to do it. When all those bullets started flying, I was saying to myself, "How has one of them not been killed yet?" They definitely caught me off guard with Charlie.

Of course, the whole first season, Will justified his actions working for the Occupation by saying that he was doing it in order to get Charlie back. Now after all that, Charlie is dead. So what was the point?
