Yes, Falling Skies. This show feels a lot like that show. The difference to me is that this show is really more about how the humans will react to each other if taken over by aliens, where Falling Skies was more about the aliens interacting with the humans, at least by the second season. But I agree, this has the potential to drag on too long. They did a smart move by moving this season to Seattle to change up things.

I watched Falling Skies for a couple seasons, then quit. Not only did it drag, but the writing & characters weren't as well done. Colony is a much better show (IMHO). They've managed to keep it moving at a decent pace, interesting characters, and while we still have the over-arching mystery, they keep throwing us plot tidbits to keep us satisfied.

That opening scene... the enemy of my enemy? But where were they?

Maybe I forgot something that happened later but didn't Amy tell Broussard to pack his stuff and get the bleep out before she returned home from work? Then she comes home to find Katie, Willl and Broussard and some strangers.

    I feel bad for Gracie.

He's a morally deficient, lyin' weasel but I like Snyder.

He's always been a self-serving prick, but they took his character to a whole new level during the scene where he sat there and helped his friend strangle that guy in the car. Prior to that, Snyder never struck me as the kind of guy who would willingly put himself that close to the "action".

She did tell him to leave but in last week's episode, Will went to see her at her work to convince her to let Broussard come back.
    I guess she did.

Besides, I like having Peyton List around.

Oh, man. The 2nd aliens are Predators!

    :)

And, as I suggested earlier, Snyder is angling to be Lord of The Flies after the war.

Next week is the season finale. They're juggling so many eggs, and moving at a pretty rapid pace.

So was Kynes & his group working with that alien? It seems they feed a test Outlier to one, and see how they do (answer: not well ). But was that Alien Group #1 or #2? Assuming #1, if Kynes is working that closely with our new overlords, why is he having such trouble with the IGA? Don't they work for our new masters?

And if it was AG#2... all bets are off.

Yeah, almost certainly...they don't match the design aesthetic of AG#1 at all.

Seemed kinda weird to me that Broussard just walks in and starts leading the outlier group and he's not an outlier.

Bram could have at least left a note that he was getting Gracie to a safer place.

You'd think when a couple loses a child they would cling on to the ones that are left--not our guys. They're ready to run into a death mission together and leave them behind.

Broussard is an outlier. No one in Kynes group knew that he was in Seattle until a couple of episodes ago.

Your first point is valid though but that's just how television works sometimes.

Crap. I haven't been watching since I changed providers and thought I no longer had the channel it's on (Bravo in Canada; just found out yesterday I *do* have it). Was going to catch up when S3 is on Crave TV. If they manage to the it up well I'll probably still watch it.

    Well that sucks.

Unfortunately, I don't see how they can possibly wrap it all up at this point. They've introduced some major new plots this season, and there is only one more episode left.

Damn.... I'll miss this show. It was finally starting to break out of the Falling Skies clone shadow and get interesting. I'm hoping Snyder gets his comeuppance in teh last episode, but as it was a surprise cancellation I'm guessing not.

Easily done. Turns out the occupying force has to retreat, but they have a "scorched earth" policy and destroy the planet to prevent the resources from falling into their enemy's hands.

Problem is, production was completed on this season long, long ago. So when they finished it, they had no clue it wouldn't come back again...they had to plan for a possible fourth season.
