I went to my room to watch Cold Case and I figured it had started a couple minutes early because it was already into the story. I was confused to why I couldn't figure out what the hell was going on with the story. Then it wraps up a 1/2 hour into it. At 8:30 CSI NY starts. Well at least I record 60 minutes in the family room so I'll re-watch it tonight.

It was scheduled 7:30 to 8:30 ( central time) here, still had to pad 15 minutes because of the football game ( west coasters don't have this problem)

My TiVo recorded it at the right time - 7pm central. It didn't start until 7:45 - but I pad by an hour due to football, so I still caught it all.

It was scheduled for 8:30 eastern. I always pad Cold Case a full hour (the luxury of having 4 tuners available, I'm not sure how regular TiVo peopel do it) due to Football. Hopefully it all worked out.

Padded wouldn't have helped since it started a 1/2 hour EARLY.

In EST, Cold Case was scheduled to start at 8:30PM. The game forced 60 Minutes' start time to about 7:45PM (was supposed to start at 7:30PM). So Cold Case started at 8:45PM, so if you're Season Pass/ARWL was set and you didn't pad it, you lost the LAST 15 minutes. If you padded it by at least 15 minutes, you have the whole episode.

It normally starts at 8:00 PST it started at 7:30, padding would not have helped. Never have problems with football on the West coast. I got the 1st half of CSI NY on my Cold Case.

it's probably because there was only a half-hour ep of 60 Minutes that night... but that was planned all along so I can't imagine why the listings weren't changed.

Kind of weird, it ran a half hour late in ET (but my SP correctly picked this up), and early other places.

60 minutes was only 30 minutes that's false advertising.

I am West-coaster/PST person and only caught the last half-hour with my season pass :(

So, what exactly happened from a west coast perspective?

It was supposed to start at 8:30pm. However football ran over. Part way into 60 mins they had a 'ticker' come on the bottom saying it would start at 8:47pm.

I removed my padding a couple weeks ago when the regular season ended (plus I have a few more shows I record on Sunday). Since I caught this messages I changed it to record another 30 mins. was a 15 min pad enough? Did they make up the 2 mins with shorter commericals?

Guess I will have to check this for the next two Sunday nights.

This is how I usually do it to. I haven't had problem until last night. About 7:30 I noticed that it wasn't recording (no red led, we had it on standby) so I went into the recording history. There were entries for Cold Case at 7:00 and 7:30. Both entries said that it was cancelled due to a higher priority SP (Crossing Jordan). Is there a limit on how much it will clip if SPs overlap? Fortunately I noticed it in time and was able to record it on the bedroom TiVo (by then I was recording something else in the living room for the kids).

15 min pad was enough for me, It ended just when the dead person "Ghost" shows up at the end after case was solved, so I don't think I missed anything.

I thought I was a big Springsteen fan, but I didn't know some of those songs they played.

KPIX must have screwed something up. In Sacramento, the show aired from 8-9.

I live in San Diego and Cold Case apparently started at it's normal time of 8:00 PM instead of 8:30 PM as shown in the guide, since I lost the first 1/2 hour of it. I changed my Season Pass to Record All Episodes in case they replay it again because of the screwup.
