I have had the same problem. I have an outdoor hottub that me & my wife love to use at night. We want a clock that is illuminated as well so we can see what time it is and how long we been cooking in the hot tub soup.

I have been looking for over a year... for ANYTHING... No luck. Like you I come across numerous Alarm clocks of all types, clocks that aren't illuminated.

Whats so funny... is the school my kids go too... all THEIR classrooms have an RED LED illuminated CLOCK! I want one! I have asked the principal where they got them, & of course he has no idea, because the school was built in the early 1970's and the clocks have always been there. :(

    Go figure.

The onscreen clock would be less distracting if they didn't display seconds...

I like the seconds. To each his own.

I like the seconds too.... I dont find the onscreen clock distracting at all. In fact I often find myself going through other steps to check what time it is (look at watch, cell phone, turn on TiVo banner, etc..) even though the time is right there staring me in the face.

I don't particularly care for the elapsed time being purely in minutes as opposed to hours:minutes.

Agreed. Prior to the version 11 TiVo software update, it at least tracked the number of minutes accurately. Now, when it reaches 1 hour, the minutes roll over from 59 and go back to 0, which is very annoying for material that is longer than an hour.

I hope if they go into the code to fix this that they change it to read h:mm:ss instead.

I suppose this is something I take for granted with our Series 3. Love that front panel display.

I find a few possibilities on Amazon searching for "LED clock". Hard to avoid the alarm feature, but not all of them look like alarm clocks.

Forgot to mention that is part of my remote macro as well. You can also do the code while watching a previously recorded show and the channel would not change obviously.
