Clear and delete

    I was having problems with the Guide (1/2 was missing data)
    I have a Roamio plus running TE3
    I went in and did a Clear and Delete (was the 2nd to the last option on the list)
    It went to the clearing data & the to do list..... this may take up to an hour...
    I unplugged after it sat there for like an 1 hour 15 minutes.
    When I plugged back in..... it went back to the wait up to an hour screen, (and as I write this) has been on that for a little over 1/2 hour.

    I seam to remember doing this 9 months ago..... and it never worked, and had to do a "kick start" and lost everything on hard drive.

    Is that what I am going to have to do again????

    Yes. It is still listed as a "Known Issue" - > Tivo Customer Support Community I understand a KS 57 sometimes works. The KS 76543210 does wipe the drive.

    My guide hasn't received new data in three days. I'll keep waiting. TE4 gets updates three times daily.

    So question..... I have tried Code 57 (and it accepted it) but it goes back to the "take about an hour" screen.
    Do I let it try for an hour..... Or do I just give up and do the Kickstart code 76543210

    Just reporting back.... Found the thread on a premiere with the problem.
    Premiere Stuck on "Clearing Guide Data"
    Post # 75 said to wait for the Green screen.

    I tried 2 times to Kick Start with code 57.... Both times it went back to the clear and delete screen.

    I then unplugged it just as it was still "waking up" before it could go to the "clear and delete" screen.... I then tried the KS 57, It then went to the GREEN screen:
    Tivo box detected serious problem and now is attempting to fix it
    This will take about three hours....... ETC
    So I guess Now I wait and see if my Roamio Plus comes back.

    So the Green screen lasted about 30 minutes....
    Then went to the Clear and Delete screen for about 5 minutes
    Then to the "Almost there" screen
    Then to a screen "Show info has run out"..... I chose: Connect to Tivo server now

    All my recording are still there
    And my guide data has been FULLY restored (shows guide data for almost 2 weeks in advance).

    Hope my problems...... Help someone else (and most likely me, after I forget that I can't do a C&D on TE3)

    FYI, I just went through this myself. After three hours did a KS57 and got back running.

    It seems CPI+TDL is crap, even though it should be a simple operation.
